I’ve decided to re-blog this today, even though I didn’t know until this morning.

It still upsets me that people in our world, even in our country, within our own communities are still persecuted for doing something as natural as breathing.

Sex is something we all desire once we get past a certain age, even though some show it a lot more than others, and some don’t seem to show it at all. It’s natural, it’s something we do so we can live on and evolve to become better. But for humans, they have had the privilege to be able to do so many more other things than all other animals, and one is to really love. We can fall in love and stay with one person all our lives. We have children who we love and we watch them grow up and fulfil their dreams. Sex links in closely with love, and is usually described as an expression of love. Even if it’s not, it’s still a choice and a freedom we have. Loving, being in a relationship, having sex and being intimate is something that everyone wants to do.

We all have differences and similarities. This makes everyone unique and interesting. Some people have qualities and make choices that make them a good person. Others choose to be evil and corruptive. We can choose to have sex and be in a relationship. But no one chooses their gender, their race or whether or not they have sexual desires, or who to.

Things are changing for the better, sexism is improving, as is racism. But I don’t think we can add the other one to the list. It’s improving, but there are still so many intolerant homophobic people out there. People posting it on their profiles, as if it’s something to be proud of. Homophobia is something to be ashamed of. Intolerances are something you should deal with, right now.

You think being gay is wrong? Well, we think homophobia is wrong.

Being straight is neither right nor wrong. Being bi is neither right nor wrong. Being gay is neither right nor wrong.

No one is right, just as much is no one is wrong.

We do not choose our gender, our race or our sexuality.

So we should not choose what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’.

This post is for the brave people who have to deal with intolerant people nearly everyday. I admire you, as do so many others, so be proud.
